Sesora ("the app") is developed by Serkan Coşkun ("we", "us"). Sesora is built local-first: it works without an account, and your personal data lives on your device. This policy explains exactly what stays on your phone, what leaves it and why, and the choices you have.
The short version: no accounts, no ads, no third-party tracking, and no sale of data — ever. Your journal stays on your device unless you explicitly ask for a weekly report.
The following is stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone and is never uploaded to us:
Deleting the app deletes this data. We have no copy of it and no way to recover it.
The weekly report is optional and only runs when you tap "Create my weekly report". When you do, your journal entries from the last 7 days (dates, ratings, tags and up to the first 200 characters of each note) are sent over an encrypted connection to our server function, which forwards them to OpenAI's API to generate the report text in your chosen language.
If you never tap the button, your journal never leaves your phone.
Some sounds in the library are downloaded on demand from our storage provider (Supabase). These requests transfer only the sound files themselves; they do not include your journal or any personal content. Standard technical logs (such as IP address) may be processed by the storage provider to deliver the files.
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. To validate purchases and restore them across reinstalls, the app uses RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous app-generated identifier and your purchase receipts. This identifier is not linked to your name, email or journal. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Your journal may reflect information about your wellbeing. It is treated exactly as described above: stored on your device, and processed transiently only when you request a weekly report. Sesora is a wellness app, not a medical device; it does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Sesora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have additional rights such as access, correction or erasure. Because we don't hold your personal data on our servers, most of these are satisfied by the controls above — but you can always contact us with any request.
All network connections the app makes use encryption in transit (HTTPS). Data on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security.
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
